On 19th April 1956, the wedding of the century took place in the Principality of Monaco. It looks like a fairy tale: Grace Kelly, a screaming actress who enchanted the world with her icy beauty, marries Ranieri Prince Grimaldi, the most coveted golden bachelor in Europe. Grace Kelly’s wedding dress, made by two-time Oscar-winning costume designer Helen Rose, continues to be considered the most elegant of all time. It took 24 meters of silk taffeta and as many of gros de longre made of silk to make it, while a precious Valenciennes lace was used to cover the shoulders. The very long veil was decorated with 1000 pearls and lace. The marriage was organized in the name of luxury and effort.
